Korzhov O. Alter-globalization as a modern culture and civilization process phenomenon.

The thesis analyzes the complex features of the formation, specific values and practical manifestations of the alter-globalization as a phenomenon of modern culture and civilization process. The determinants' scope of the alter-globalization formation is proved to be most projected within cultural and civilization nature of globalization, the subjective and objective reasons, the consequences initially determining influence on the emergence and actualization of the alter-globalization's important task orientation, thus forming alter-globalization philosophy and practice of social and cultural activities. The content of the concepts "alter-globalization", "alter-globalization movement" helped to create a generalized understanding of the expression' peculiarities and course of the resistance's basic processes to negative consequences of globalization. The work examines the activity of the alter-globalization representatives as a new form of social and cultural integration, taking into account cultural and regional characteristics of the resistance's display to the effects of globalization. The most promising areas of alter-globalization with its cultural and civilization component, including such initiatives as cultural and communitarian projects of the alter-globalization ideas expansion concerning the need for revival of cultural identity, cultural and educational activities and alternative education system are studied.
