Essay

The organizational and pedagogical conditions of correction the physical development of visually impaired elementary school students were for the first time theoretically developed and experimentally tested in the dissertation. That is systematization of knowledge and skills of students according to three substantial lines of correctional and developmental work, such as: modification of techniques of physical education classes, gymnastic pauses and athletic breaks; implementation of individual and differentiated approach to students of different typological groups taking into account the positive indicators in their psychophysical development; professional training of teachers to work in an innovative format. Criteria of physical development of visually impaired elementary school students were specified through integration of their morphological and functional parameters and indicators of physical fitness. The essence of the concept of "correction of physical development of visually impaired students" was clarified, considering specificity of elementary school students. The innovative educational technology for correction the physical development of visually impaired elementary school students by means of physical education was developed.
