Essay

The dissertation addresses determination of the regularities for urban vehicular traffic formation. The urban vehicular traffic aspects have been analyzed to that effect. It has been established that the problematics hereinabove was caused by the urban transport network development disproportion as well as traffic volume and high accident risk. Therefore, the issues stated above may be resolved exploring the vehicular flow formation regularities. The analysis conducted for the methods of the traffic flow arrangement research indicates the necessity to apply the gravitational method for vehicular correspondences calculation. It has been established that the approaches to determine the motorization level are not perfect and require additional account for the economic and population number factor. Improvement of the motorization level determination approach has enabled us to determine its value for the near-term prospect. The relation between the motorization level and traffic volume of the urban transport network has been determined with the help of growth coefficient. The determined regularities of urban vehicular flow formation have been assessed via the traffic capacity reserve index, transportation works and road traffic stock coefficient.
