Essay

The thesis is devoted to the problem of systematic analysis of lingvoсultural means characterising a linguistic personality of the bells letters. Some peculiarities of an individual lexicon of the characters under inveatigation: Tzu His (P. Buck «Imperial woman») and Roksolana (P. Zagrebelniy «Roksolana») are analysed. It is the objective basis to reconstruct the verbally semantic peculiarities of a personage and presents a storage of lexems that are used by a fiction personality in an invented communicative situation The individual lexicon is an individual system of concepts, imagies and treatments. The last is created by three classes of words: the unmarked ones, spesific modal and attitudinal lexems and the dominating group of words that describes the individuality of a person. From the point of view of syntax the prevailing use of the imperative forms in the communicative acts of the characters has been revealed, which testifies to the highest situational and status position of both ladies. A linguistic study of a personage can be accomplished only in case the influence of the author’s linguistic personality on speech characteristics of the heroes is taken into account.
