Tuchapska A. The efficiency of growing the young-of-the-year carp in ponds in conditions of the enrichment of their diet with live feeds during the growing season

The thesis presents the theoretical and experimental materials of the studies of the effect of the enrichment of the diet of young-of-the-year Lyubinsky scaled carp with natural feeds that includes their supplemental feeding with cultivated zooplankton during the period of declined natural forage base in ponds, on the hydrochemical regime and the development of natural forage base in ponds, the basic biological indicators of young-of-the-year, and the results of their cultivation. The stimulating effect of increasing the share of natural feeds in the diet of young-of-the-year carp on their growth rate, fish productivity in ponds, saving of artificial feeds, winter survival on the second year of life has been observed. Hematological parameters, chemical composition of muscles and the state of antioxidant system of YOY carp hepatopancreas have been studied. The economical efficiency of the measures for enriching the diet of YOY carp with the natural feeds has been established. It is recommended when rearing juvenile carp and other fish species to implement measures for increasing the share of natural feeds in their diet, which combine the stimulation of the development of natural forage base in ponds, application of organic fertilizers and introduction of Daphnia magna brood stock with supplemental feeding the young-of-the-year carp with cladocerans obtained by artificial cultivation.
