The thesis is devoted to general laws about interleukins (IL) 1в, 2 and 10 changes in the peripheral blood of patients with inflammatory diseases of various course and localization. 77 patients were involved in this study. They had exacerbation of chronic bronchitis (29), gastroduodenitis (26) and pyelonephritis (22). The findings suggest that exacerbation of chronic bronchitis, gastroduodenitis and pyelonephritis lead to significant increase in the levels of IL-1в, IL-2 and IL-10 in blood. Activation of both pro-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory mechanisms, as well as enhancing both cellular adaptive immunity and humoral one were established. There were activated pro-inflammatory mechanisms and cellular immunity mainly. The levels of these cytokines and C-reactive protein (C-RP) depend on the duration of illness: chronic bronchitis, gastroduodenitis and pyelonephritis. It was shown, that the long-term course of the disease caused the reduced adaptive immunity and dysfunction of the immune system. The activity of the inflammatory process increased at the first periods of diseases and reduced on the next stages. Under the influence of standard antiinflammatory therapy levels of all studied cytokines and C-reactive protein decreased from the initial levels toward normal indices, indicating the reducing of inflammatory activity and a pathogenic role of these cytokines. However, the correlation of the studied cytokine levels with the activity of inflammatory process (content of C-RP in the blood) is different and depends on its location. During exacerbation of chronic bronchitis and gastroduodenitis correlation between levels of IL-1в and C-RP is expressed, in case of pyelonephritis - IL-2 and C-RP, and after treatment - on the contrary. The concentrations of the studied cytokines in the blood can be used as diagnostic and prognostic markers of inflammatory activity and anti-inflammatory therapy efficacy. The comprehensive study of pro-inflammatory cytokines - markers of monocytes / macrophages and T-helper lymphocytes of type I - is particularly important.
