Essay

The solving of scientific and practical task concerning the influence of copper deficit on thyroid status, the course of oxygen dependent processes, the structure of the components of hypothalamus-hypophysis-thyroid axis, myocardium and liver of the rats with iodine deficiency is described in dissertation. The changes of lipid spectrum of blood and the system of nitrogen oxide were justified, that causes high cardiovascular risk under the conditions of combined copper and iodine deficit. The effectiveness of potassium iodide, copper sulfate, alpha-tocopherol and L-arginine was proven for thyroid, prooxidant- and antioxidant homeostasis.
