Essay

The object of research is road traffic on the transport network. The purpose of work is development of methods of determining the traffic flow parameters of traffic road network on the basis of empirical-analytical modeling to reduce the number of peripheral items of measurement in automated traffic control systems. Method of research: graph theory and recurrent sequences theory, regression analysis, mathematical modeling, methods of probability theory and mathematical statistics. Novelty of the research is that established and formalized communication parameters of logarithmic normal distribution of time dynamic gauge of vehicles in traffic flows with specific intensity exceeding 600 vph, and the distance from object, which generates vehicle group for the first time. The method of short-term operational determination of intensity by analytical modeling inside the area of traffic management based on information received from vehicle detectors on its main entrances. In thesis on the basis of practical solutions and theoretical research is proposed to reduce the number of peripheral items measurement in automated control systems traffic. The results of thesis used by the Department of Transportation of Kharkiv City Council during the reconstruction of the traffic management system and the development of measures to improve the capacity of the main city arterial roads. Area of application is organization and traffic management.
