Pavlushko Y. Academician O. Buhutskiy (1929–2000): intellectual biography of the scientist, organizer of agricultural science in Ukraine.

The thesis is a systematic scientific historical research that based on the analysis of complex representational sources of the main theoretical developments and specific practical contribution of in the development of national agricultural economy. The factors in the formation of O. Buhutskiy’s scientific outlook as a researcher and personality are identified. The forms and methods of cooperation with the production directly to the scientist and research teams that were led by him are established. Scientific-organizational and scientific-educational activities of the scientist are analyzed. The essence, nature and characteristics of the system providing of scientific and historical researches in economics are shown. Academic skills and abilities as an organizer of science, head of scientific collectives are presented by the example and responsibility for the execution of assigned work.On the basis of analytic-synthetic study of published and first introduced to the scientific use the archival sources that reflected O. Buhutskiy’s activity aspects, the specificity of his work in different directions of science and educational field are investigated.
