Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the study of nutritional status, the state of actual nutrition assessment and provision of essential nutrients, and to establish the prevalence of nutritional deficits among preschool children living in radioactive contaminated areas of soil contamination with 137Cs isotope from 37 to 555 kBq/m2 and in the city Kyiv. Based on comprehensive research hygienic assessment for identifying the features of actual nutrition of preschool children, living in radioactive contaminated areas under the modern social and economic conditions has been conducted, nutritional status of the surveyed children has been defined, the priority deficits and surpluses of macro- and micronutrients in the nutrition of the surveyed population contingent have been set, the levels of the consumption of basic food groups have been analysed. Vitamin-Microelement-Complex (VMC), which helps to overcome deficits of the basic essentials of this contingent of the population has been developed, patented and into the public health practice adopted.
