The dissertation is a theoretical and experimental research of formation of future maritime officers' readiness for professional work in a multicultural environment. The scientific approaches to the interpretation of concept "readiness of future maritime officers for professional work in multicultural environment" are considered according to the historical, pedagogical views. It is determined and grounded the essence and componential structure, criteria, levels and methods of the readiness. The peculiarities of the formation of future maritime officers' readiness for professional work in a multicultural environment in maritime universities are described and results of experimental work are analyzed.
