Essay

The dissertation deals with the study of condition and interrelations of the hormonal and immune systems of demodicosis patients, detection of their role in pathogenesis of the disease, making it possible to demonstrate the importance of functional disconnection of various endocrine links in disturbance of the adaptive processes and functional liver condition in case of demodicosis. The paper gives evidence concerning the presence of reliable correlation relations between the level of hormones circulating in the blood and the principal indices of the cellular and humoral immunity in case of demodicosis. The disorder of normal interrelations and development of new correlations between the hormonal and immune signs was found. The structure of relations and their dynamics after the conducted therapy appeared to be substantially different depending on sex and functional liver condition. Check clinical-laboratory examinations 2-5 months after completion of treatment showed its various degree of effectiveness depending on sex and liver condition. Parasitologic effect of Albendazole was studied in 109 demodicosis patients. The treatment was conducted according to 10-day scheme in the dose of 10mg per 1kg of the body weight 2-3 times a day. The administration of Albendazole in a comprehensive treatment of demodicosis patients was proved to be reasonable.
