The dissertation is devoted to complex study of scientific researches and achievements in drainage and ameliorative agriculture and elaborations of intensive technology of effective cultivation of different crops that were done by famous Ukrainian scientist, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor M.N. Shevchenko.It was found and characterized the main directions and results of scientist's scientific researches in the field of science of marshes and agriculture at cultivated marsh soils in humid zone of Ukraine, his achievements in the development of theoretical and methodological, technological and applied aspects in the context of research priorities of the branch.
