The work is devoted to investigation of hydrological problems forming concepts in the study of physical geography in secondary schools and highlights its importance to methods of teaching geography. The theoretical, methodological and practical aspects of forming hydrologic concepts. The state of the problem in the theory and practice of teaching geography and the role and importance of hydrological concepts in shaping the content and structure of curricula, textbooks, manuals, training technologies of physical geography. Defined progressive role of information and communication technologies in the process of hydrologic concepts. Methodical thesis there is determined the value "student complex" hydrological concepts to form students of secondary schools. Based on a comprehensive analysis of the philosophical, historical and pedagogical, psychological, pedagogical and methodological literature on the geographical found stupinchastist in shaping hydrological concepts, their meanings defined in the entry of the subject of geographical competence. Deals with the method of forming the hydrological concepts in the educational activities in secondary schools. The basis of its assigned processes of interaction teacher and pupil and student complex that creates appropriate opportunities for independent work of students. The results can be used in school practice teaching of geography and the preparation of future teachers in universities. They are reflected in the published articles in professional journals and partly in the Concept geographic education in primary school.
