Kolotylo M. The mission of the university in the context of the formation of the philosophical-educational paradigm of information society

The thesis contains philosophical research of the mission of university as expression of the unity of its calling and destination in society, mediated by a set of tasks concerning the person, state and civilization in general. It is proved that the mission of the university is formed as result of transformation of the idea of the university, influenced by philosophical-educational paradigm, and is implemented in models of universities by identifying their strategies of development and content of conceptual model. Based on the grounding of humanistic meaning and principles of cultural philosophical-educational paradigm, we studied the mission of university in information society as well as readiness of modern universities to implement it by applying to the cultural capital of their students.
