Object - motivation of educational professional activity of students; the purpose - determination of gender features of motivation of educational professional activity of students of technical specialties; methods - the theoretical and methodological analysis; psychology and pedagogical experiment in the form of the stating, forming and control research; mathematical and statistical methods of data processing; novelty - gender features of psychosemantic structures of motives of educational professional activity are for the first time specified which correspond to the level of the academic success, namely: in structure of motives of educational professional activity of young men with high success motives which reflect the professional purposes, important for them, are meaning, but for girls - motives of material welfare, employment and self-development; relation of motivation of educational professional activity of young men and girls with formations of a masculine / feminine is for the first time defined, where the first one is connected with acceptance of the purposes of a vocational education, values of the sphere of a profession, education, a family, society and physical activity, self-development, and the second one correlates with the indifferent relation to a vocational education, values of the sphere family lives, the importance of spiritual satisfaction, active social contacts, own prestige, high financial position and preservation of own identity in education; ideas of gender-specific profiles of motivation are expanded which accompanies high and low academic success; ideas of gender differences of motives of educational professional activity of students are gained further development, namely: young men have a higher developed level of internal motives of educational professional activity, and girls - external and social motives; means of psychological maintenance of development of motivation of educational professional activity are gained further development by creation of the training directed on harmonization of motives of educational professional activity of young men and girls; results -gender features of psychosemantic motives of educational professional activity of students of technical specialties are defined; relation of motivation of educational professional activity with features of gender identity of students is defined; gender features of profiles of motivation are defined which accompanies the academic success; the developing program is created that aimed at the development of constructive forms of motivation of educational professional activity of students and gender factors which cause it; the created developing program can be applied in practice of psychological service of higher education institution; the maintenance of theoretical and practical part of the thesis can be used when teaching the courses "Psychology and Pedagogics of the Higher School", "Pedagogical Psychology" and separate special courses for students who study in "Psychology", students of pedagogical specialties, students of professional development; area - psychology.
