The dissertations deals with the validation of pedagogical principles of future specialists of applied arts training in higher education in the use of Ukrainian folk dress making traditions in their professional activity. The essence of such training has been defined. The pedagogical potential of above mentioned traditions in professional training of future specialists of applied arts has been outlined. The structure, criteria, indexes have been grounded and the levels of their readiness for the use of Ukrainian folk dress making traditions in their professional activity have been defined. Pedagogical conditions of the above stated capacity have been grounded and experimentally tested. Such conditions provide enriching its context with the educational material concerning traditions of Ukrainian national dress making as a value of the world and national culture.
