Essay

Object of study: the process of country' international competitiveness formation. Aim: development of theoretical and methodological aspects of the ecological component impact on the international competitiveness of the EU countries and working out scientific and practical recommendations towards the formation of convergent ecological and economic policy for the growth of the international competitiveness of Ukraine. Methods: method of systemic analysis; methods of logical analysis, synthesis and comparison; cluster analysis; economic and statistical analysis; correlation and regression analysis; method of scenarios. Scientific novelty: the methodical approach to the assessment of the ecological component of the countries international competitive advantage formation is offered; the method of measuring the rigidity of ecological policy is worked out; integral and index method for calculating the index of post-industrial economies development is proposed; the approaches to the definition of "countries' international competitiveness" are improved; classification of ecological and economic policy tools is developed; scientific and practical bases of formation of convergent ecological and economic policy for the growth of the international competitiveness of Ukraine are improved. The research results are implemented in practical activities of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration, Dnipropetrovsk Chamber of Commerce, the Dnipropetrovsk regional organization of the Ukrainian Ecological League, Ltd. "Bakid", in the educational process of the Prydniprovs'ka State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture. Sphere of usage: interdisciplinary.
