The thesis deals with the problem of future social workers' professional competence forming in extracurricular activities at the higher educational establishment. The scientific basis for future social workers' professional competence and its components forming in extracurricular activities are characterized; the criteria, indicators and levels of future social workers' professional competence are defined. The real state of formed future social workers' professional competence is revealed; the structural and functional model as well as the pedagogical conditions of professional competence forming in extracurricular activities at the higher educational establishment are worked out and experimentally checked; the content of teaching and methodical support that promotes the future social workers' professional competence forming in extracurricular activities at the higher educational establishment was worked out.
