Essay

Dissertation is devoted to the study of myometrial contractility in ovarian (OD) and cervical departments (CD) in mice by a method of phase-plot analysis under physiological conditions, іmmune complex disease and experimental iron deficiency anemia. It was established, that contractility parameters of ovarian and cervical uterine department have significant differences. Immune complex-mediated damage, induced by the immunization with bovine serum albumin (BSA), caused an increase in some parameters of OD and CD contractility. It was sugested that changes in myometrial contractility under the BSA-immunization can be mediated by changes in the activity of the enzyme poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase and functional state of mitochondria and associated with NF-kB and NO. Experimental iron deficiency anemia resulted in inhibition of contractile activity of both parts of the uterus. It is shown that zero-valent iron nanoparticles exerted protective therapeutic effect on uterine contractility in experimental iron deficiency anemia, but under immune-mediated diseases may exhibit some toxic effects.
