The object of study: evolution of air conditioner building industry in Ukraine. The aim of the study: carrying out historical reconstruction of the origin and functioning of the single specialized scientific and production center of air conditioner building in Ukraine. Research methods: comparative and historical, problem-chronological, periodization, actualization. Theoretical and practical results: the study of the Kharkov scientific-industrial center of air conditioner building can fill gaps in the reproduction of the unique and the only in Ukraine complex in air conditioner building. Scientific novelty: the formation and functioning of the Kharkov scientific-industrial complex of air conditioner building (beg. 30's. - beg. 90's. of XX c.). for the first time are disclosed. The author periodization of becoming unique in Ukraine scientific and practical center of air conditioner building is grounded and set defining of each periods features. Defined result of effective implementation of All-Union Scientific Research Institute "Conditioner" research in the technical developments of the Kharkiv plant "Conditioner" production. Overview changing of conditioner building industry administration system. Deals with the engineering staff training for the sector. The degree of the results implementation: thesis material introduced to the educational process of the department "History of Science and Technology" and "Heat and energy efficient technologies" NTU "KPI".
