Method to select the best location for dumping site from environmental and economic points of view on the Ukrainian part of the Black sea shelf was developed in thesis. Costs to maintaining depths for navigation of the approach channels are used as the objective function at optimization problem solving. Recommendations to select optimal dumping site depending on various conditions in the waters were developed: minimum costs, which include costs for fleet and environmental damage; minimum environmental damage; maximum dilution of pollutants in the cloud of suspended matter in the control point; minimum distance to the place of disposal. Natural conditions and objects of dredging and soil dumping are analyzed for the investigated region. Mathematical model of turbulent diffusion of suspended matter in the aquatic environment after disposal are developed for receiving characteristics of water pollution zone. Parameters of the model are optimized; engineering method and calculation module "Damping-suspended matter" are developed. Numerical research experiments of suspension diffusion during dredging and optimization dumping in the Kerch Commercial Sea Port and the Danube-Black Sea Canal are executed. Optimal dumping site with regard to environmental security and economic interests was found for these objects.
