Essay

The thesis is dedicated to solve current scientific and practical task of resources saving of lower commodity wooden raw materials in the manufacturing of lumber by selecting efficient cutting plans, equipment operation procedures and anticipating the costs of raw materials on the condition of using circular saw equipment. For the first time correction factor calculation is defined to specify the proper frequency of flexural vibrations of circular saws. The construction of hard metal circular saws with plates is improved for cuttings removal that provides efficient cuttings removal and allows the improvement of lumber surface quality at 4%. Roughness and power consumption of processed timber surfaces are experimentally determined while sawing with saws made upon construction regulated according to TULLC «Intex» and experimental saw design is developed. The roughness during the cutting by saws of the offered design was within 75–95 mkm, while using saws of basic construction was 81?98 mkm. Power consumption of using the saws of basic design by the average measures was 0.79 kW, while of the saws of offered design – 0.7 kW. For the first time was defined the roughness range of lumber surface of initial moisture content for the circular saw machines of sawmill. The useful output of timber was experimentally defined while cutting low commodity wood into timber, as well as the corresponding variety factors were determined.
