The thesis analyzes the state of research of the problem of optimal motor activity in preschool child in the psychological literature. The author's vision of the definition of "physical activity" is revealed, the essence of the concepts of "physical development" and "well-being" are clarified. In this paper, the relationship between the terms "well-being" and "health" was established; the content of the definition of "mental health" was found, and on its bases the concept of "mental well-being of preschooler" was justified. In this thesis, the psychological characteristics of the mentally happy older preschooler individual have been defined and theoretically covered. Using empirical methods, the relationship between physical activity and the mental well-being of older preschoolers was studied. A program to increase physical activity of older preschoolers was developed; its effectiveness in the manifestation of the mental well-being has been proven. Confirmed the hypothesis that the increase in motor activity during the development of the child socially meaningful space in different types of play contributes to the establishment and strengthening of ties between social, cognitive, emotional mental achievements of preschoolers, the increased integrity, integrity and constructive manifestation of his mental prosperity in practical life.
