Essay

Dissertation is dedicated to revealing of the essence of scientific heritage of Hippolyte Morgilevsky (1889-1942), eliciting of technologism in his art research and determination of the place of the scientist in the native culture. Morgilevsky's lead role in the development of the history of culture of Kievan Rus in the territory of Ukraine - in the scope of the native national and cultural programs at the state level and scientific programs of the All-Ukrainian Academy of Sciences was proved. The essence of participation of Morgilevsky in the work of the Museum Archive of Transitional Period in the condition of occupation of Kyiv during the Second World War was revealed. Tendencies of use of technological aspects in humanitarian research as an example of methodological campus of Morgilevsky were considered, cooperation of Morgilevsky with Harvard School of Mediaevalistics in extremely complicated for the international cooperation circumstances of the 1920-1930s was emphasized. Morgilevsky's implication in the range of problems related to the determination of the place of Caucasus in the culture of the Middle Ages is proved. In migration hypothesis as to the origin of constructive structure of Sophia of Kyiv the development of the lead ideas and use of methods of the Western European mediaevalistics of the end of the 19th - beginning of the 20th centuries was revealed. The peculiarities of use of the impact theory were determined by means of verification of the migration theory of Morgilevsky with modern methods (semiological aspect).
