Object - the process of foreign language teaching to future politologists. Purpose - theoretical implementation and experimental testing of the methodology of teaching English public speech to future politologists on the basis of British and American politicians' speeches. Methods - theoretical, empirical, statistical. Theoretical results and novelty - for the first time the methodology of teaching English public speech to future politologists on the basis of British and American politicians' speeches has been scientifically implemented and experimentally tested; the essence of the concept "English public speech of future politologists" has been defined and linguistic features of the English public speech have been specified; methods of foreign language teaching to future politologists have been analyzed retrospectively and their spare capacities have been discovered; psychological mechanisms enabling the generation and reproduction of the English public speech of the future politologists have been defined; the structure of the content of English public speech teaching targeted for future politologists has been determined; the three-stage linguodidactic model of teaching English public speech to future politologists on the basis of British and American politicians' speeches has been elaborated, this model consists of linguoinformational stage, content and analytical stage and the stage of professional speech. The corresponding system of exercises for teaching English public speech to future politologists has been modelled. The effectiveness of the proposed methodology has been verified and confirmed in the course of experimental teaching by means of linguistic, reproductive and productive criteria and high, satisfactory, low levels of formation of future politologists' English public speech skills. The concept "English public speech" has been specified in accordance with the profession of political science. Practical results - the development of methodology of teaching English public speech to future politologists, the guidelines for its implementation in educational practice and the training manual "Public Speech in Politics" (co-authored) for students who master the social and political sciences. The degree of implementation is high. The field (area of application) - pedagogical, higher education institutions.
