Essay

The process of forming the country's image on the international stage and cinema as an instrument of modern public policy was investigated. Analyzed the genesis of the discourse and image of the country's image in the international arena. Based on the "star model" Y. Elizur proved that the multifaceted image of the country is more efficient because it allows the balance between positive and negative components of the image of the country, to fight stereotypes. P. Schofield confirmed the theory that the potential of the country is perceived by the outside world via a series of designed and existing images in the mind, which is the formation and through movies. The classification methods of place-branding in movies in Ukraine, Russia and Belorussia was developed.
