Essay

The dissertation is devoted to research gender specifics in development of professional competence of medical students. The theoretical analysis of scientific literature as the basis for defining the content is held in the work, the basic structural components and types of professional competence of future doctors. The basic components of professional competence of future doctor are based on the theoretical analysis: value-motivational, communicative, behavioral, operatively-active, cognitive, reflective and creative, and its types: special, social, psychological, personal-creative, communicative, self-regulative, moral and ethical, legal. The author analyzed main gender peculiarities of the professional personality becoming and development, such as gender identity, gender roles, settings, gender stereotypes, indicators of femininity and masculinity. Empirically researches the levels of development of the important components of professional competence of future doctors. Analyzed interconnection gender characteristics with peculiarities of development the communicative, value-motivational, creative-reflexively and behavioral components of professional competence. Theoretically grounded and developed psycho-pedagogical model of professional competence of future doctor. Proposed the psycho-pedagogical model of forming the professional competence containing the system of practical and theoretical methods for traditional and personality-oriented studying. The model allows to identify meaningful relationships between the main components and types of professional competence of future doctor and the factors of its formation, providing high level of success mastering future professional activity. This close relationship is proportional to the development and formation of the main components and types of professional competence of future doctor. It provides a high level of general competence of the modern physician at the time as "loss" of one of the components of professional competence deprives its completeness and integrity. The main idea of the proposed psycho-pedagogical model is the belief that the most important parts of professional competence to be the formation, development and correction during specially organized student-centered learning in higher education. The effectives of author's programme and gender-oriented techniques for the professional competence development of medical students during studying in university are proved in work with the results of forming influences. Proposed in research work the complex of techniques for development of professional competence for future doctors can be used with the aim to increase and improve professional training of medical specialist or in organization and conducting orientation practice, or in changes of professional studying processes, which with increase professionalism of future medical specialist.
