In the thesis the research resulted in problems of improvement of professional skill of heads of vocational educational institutions on the basis of distance learning technologies in the scientific and pedagogical theory and practice. Examines the nature of the training managers of vocational educational institutions on the basis of distance learning technologies, outlines the methodological approaches to improve the skills of managers of vocational educational institutions, outlined the prerequisites for the implementation of distance learning technologies in the process of training for staff and management of education; analyzed and clarified the basic concepts of the study. Justified organizational and pedagogical conditions of improvement of professional skill of heads of vocational educational institutions on the basis of distance learning technologies. Scientifically substantiated and developed organizational-pedagogical model of professional training of the heads of vocational educational institutions on the basis of distance learning technologies and disclosed its essence. Developed criteria and levels of computer-network of competence in the process of training leaders in vocational education and training institutions on the basis of distance learning technologies. Experimentally proved the effectiveness of model training heads of vocational educational institutions.
