Object - methodology of sport selection in volleyball ; purpose - to improve the initial sports selection of volleyball girl-players through the complex of genetic, morphological, physiological and psychological markers; methods: theoretical analysis and synthesis; biomedical; index method; sociological methods (survey); psychological methods; teaching; methods of mathematical statistics; novelty: for the first time established a set of genetically determined traits for primary sports selection of girls who plays volleyball; first substantiated efficiency of genetic, morphological, physiological and psychological signs and markers in the initial sports selection of girls who plays volleyball; improved data on anthropometric indicators, the level of motor abilities of volleyball girls-players; further developed knowledge of incorporation morphological features for volleyball girls-players, which are 75-99% genetically determined in solving problems of girls selection and prediction of results in volleyball. Results: recommendations was made for volleyball coaches for qualitative preliminary sports selection of girls through the use of complex genetically determined markers. The research results are used in the training process of Volleyball extra-curricular classes (sections) for pupils in Galician Legal Lyceum and school "Erudite" in Lviv, junior sports school "Motorist", and also the learning process of students with specialization "volleyball " at department of sports and recreational games, Lviv State University of Physical Culture; specialization - physical education and sport.
