Khapatniukovskyi M. Economic Sovereignty of Ukraine under conditions of global imbalances

The thesis is devoted to the study of conditions, factors and mechanisms of global imbalances' effect on the economic sovereignty of the open economy. The thesis reveals the essence and attributes of economic sovereignty of countries with open economies, defines channels of global imbalances distribution and the mechanism of their impact on the economic sovereignty of the subjects in global interaction, summarizes the methodological approaches to assess the level of governmental economic sovereignty's security. The author analyzes the asymmetries of foreign economic relations of modern Ukraine through foreign trade, investment and debt channels, discovers supranational component of the Ukrainian regulatory system in combating global imbalances through the mechanisms of its cooperation with international financial institutions and integration unions. The strategic directions of the state policy to counter global risks in foreign trade, financial and investment relations were summarized.The simulation of the Ukrainian economic sovereignty security level in terms of three variable economic scenarios was made.
