Essay

The research object were the processes locking neovascular retinopathy retina after the injection of cryopreserved cord blood . The research aim was the study of the mechanisms of action of cryopreserved cord blood nucleated cells and human impact on the structural - functional characteristics of the retina of experimental animals with simulated neovascular retinopathy. Research methods : ophthalmologic, histological , morphologic, statistical analysis. .It was showen for the first time that normal retina produces a certain level of pro- and antiangiogenic factors genes in a ratio that remains a balance between angiogenesis activators and inhibitors. In the neovascular retinopathy prevails VEGF gene expression, which triggers a neoangiogenesis cascаde and causes the emergence and spread of newly formed vessels in the retina. Experimentally proved that intravitreal injection of cryopreserved cord blood derived nuclear cells in rats with a neovascular retinopathy, newly formed vessels have undergone reverse development.
