The essence of such concepts as "professional self-development" and "readiness for professional self-development" has been specified. The components, the criteria and the levels of future junior medical specialists' readiness for professional self-development have been defined. Pedagogical conditions which contribute to forming of future junior medical specialists' readiness for professional self-development have been justified.
