Mykhailenko O. Methodology of teaching philology majors strategies in translating business texts from Ukrainian into English.

The thesis is devoted to theoretical grounds, development and experiment verification of methods of forming the future philologists' strategic competence in unilateral translation from Ukrainian into English. The research defines the components of the strategic competence in unilateral translation and presents a detailed insight of the notions of 'Strategic Competence in Translation' and 'Translation Strategy'. The psychological, psycholinguistic and methodological grounds of the strategic competence forming in unilateral translation from Ukrainian into English of future philologists were defined. The technology has been developed and the model of the education process of applying exercises in editing has been defined. The efficiency of the author's teaching methods and its optimal variants has been proved experimentally. Methodological guidelines for strategic competence in official business style forming have been formulated.
