Essay

The research object were structural and functuional characteristics of rabbit's cornea during experimental corneal limbal defficiency (CLD) and after use of cryopreserved cord blood nucleated cells ( cCBNCs). The research aim was studing the possible use and investigation of the action mechanism of cryopreserved cord blood nucleated cells in experimental model of CLD. Research methods: immunological, cryobiological, histological, clinical and ctatistical analysis. Cryopreservation has been proven to provide a high level 0f cCBNCs preservation, as evidenced by the essessment of structural organisation and functional activity of the cells in vitro anf in vivo. It has been shown that the application of cCBNCs, cryopreserved in the medium with lower content of dextran, has the same therapeutic efficiency. The use of cCBNCs as the therapeutic drug for CLD ensured the recovery of visual function. The results of experimental researches allow the recommending of cCBNCs to treat the CLD in clinics.
