Essay

The dissertation is devoted to problems of the motion control and stabilization of a mechanical system consisting of a rigid body with thin elastic plate. A reduction scheme that allows transforming the equations of motion with partial derivatives to an infinite system of ordinary differential equations is proposed. Conditions for the spectral controllability of the mechanical system are obtained. The optimal control problem with a quadratic cost is solved. An estimate of the reachable set for the infinite-dimensional system is constructed. A theorem on the partial asymptotic stability of the equilibrium of the closed-loop system is proved. The Lyapunov stability of the equilibrium is proved for the considered nonlinear system.
