Essay

In the thesis, the current state and trends of training teachers of humanities in the European Union have been characterized; The social-political context of the development of the system of professional training of teachers of humanities in Great Britain has been investigated. Modern professional and personal requirements for teachers of humanities in Great Britain have been singled out. The paper analyzes the content of curricula and training programs for teachers of humanities at the universities of Great Britain, singling out the main characteristics of theoretical and practical training. The basic technologies, methods and organizational forms of teaching students of humanities have been shaped; their impact on the knowledge and skills of future teachers of humanities has been described; the peculiarities of non-formal learning of teachers of humanities at the universities have been characterized. Comparative-pedagogical analysis of professional training of teachers of humanities at the universities of Ukraine and Great Britain has been conducted; the scientifically-methodological recommendations for the use of ideas of British experience in professional training of teachers of humanities in higher educational establishments of Ukraine have been justified.
