Essay

The dissertation presented historiographical, source, and methodological dimensions of scientific discourse in the South polar region of Antarctica of the second half of XX – beginning of XXI century. Clarified the essential characteristics of domestic research of the Antarctic in the first scientific and technological revolution in 50-60-ies of XX centuries. monitored features of the Antarctic research in the second half of 1950s – the first half of the 1960s, outlined the role of scientific issues 11-17 (1966-1973 yy) Antarctic expeditions, reveals qualitative changes in research practices national Antarctic expeditions in the conditions of STD. Special attention is paid to the structuring and institutionalization of research on Antarctic issues.
