Essay

The paper is devoted to the problem of international regulation of river navigation. Term of international river and its correlation with adjacent categories of international law, criteria of international rivers, legal nature of the right of river passage, typical structure of the international regime of river navigation are studied. The mechanism of international regulation of river navigation is analyzed in detail. The essence and specific features of Vienna and Barcelona configurations of international river law are discovered.
