Batawil A. Peculiarities of Peritoneal Treatment in Elderly and Old Patients with Acute Generalized Peritonitis, Complicated by Severe Sepsis

This thesis deals with research of pathogenesis peculiarities, diagnostics improvement and acute generalized peritonitis treatment, complicated by severe sepsis in elderly and old patients. In the thesis there are results of experimental work, which has proved efficiency of priority elaborations, marked by substantial decrease of negative outcomes of redistribution and contamination of lymphoid circulation in the course of acute generalized peritonitis treatment. Improvement of treatment policy in elderly and old patients with acute generalized peritonitis, complicated by severe sepsis, facilitated patients' better preparation for surgery, decreased the level of generalization of contamination processes, weakened the negative effect of abdomen visceral partial and system perfusion processes. Implementation of priority elaboration to clinical practice and improvement of treatment policy in the patients of the third group was attended by decrease of a number of post-operation local complications by 5 % and general complications by 16.67 %, comparing with the second group, and resulted in decrease of postoperative lethality by 24.46%, comparing with the first group, and by 13.49 %, comparing with the second group.
