Essay

In the dissertation theoretical bases of formation of the readiness for self-education of cadets of higher educational establishments of the Ministry of Interior of Ukraine are studied. The essence of the concepts of "self-education", "readiness for self-education" is clarified. The peculiarities of training the police officers in the process of law enforcement activity are analyzed. The structural components of readiness for self-education are characterized: motivational and valueable (awareness of self-education by cadets as personally and socially meaningful activity, internal need for systematic updating and enriching professional knowledge, availability of valuable orientations and motives for the implementation of self-education); emotional and volitional (inner need for self-improvement, personal values, general mental ability); cognitive (system of knowledge, skills of self-education that is absorbed by person (completeness and depth of formation of scientific concepts, relationships between them, the ability to relate scientific concepts of objective reality, an understanding of the relativity of knowledge and the need to refine their knowledge through systematic cognition); information (skills and abilities to handle competently the main sources of social information, the skills to navigate the wealth of information, to choose the main thing, to fix it), organizational (possession of knowledge, skills and abilities to organize and regulate self-education activities, to apply the results of self-education in specific situations of professional activity; possession of information and retrieval, educational and information abilities), control and reflexive (skills of cadet to exercise self-control and reflection (to analyze, evaluate their own self-education, to correct and further develop new tasks), including the use of automated control and diagnostic means). The main criteria of the readiness for self-education (motivational, cognitive, organizational, reflexive) and the indexes of its formation. On the base of the defined criteria and indicators three levels of readiness for self-education of cadets of higher educational institutions of Ukraine MIA are defined: low, sufficient, high. The pedagogical conditions of formation of readiness for self-education of cadets of higher educational establishments of MIA of Ukraine: the development of motivation of the future law enforcement officers for self-education; formation of information competence of cadets; increasing the efficiency of independent work of cadets; actualization of self-disciplene in the educational process are defined. The model of formation of readiness for self-education of cadets of higher educational establishments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, which is represented by interconnected blocks (target, substantial and procedural, assessment and performance), is created. On the strengthening of substantial and procedural block the course on "Basis of self-education of cadets of the higher educational establishments of Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine" was developed and tested. The guidelines "Organization of self-activity of cadets of higher educational establishments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine" were created and implemented in the educational process. The positive dynamics of formation of readiness for self-education of cadets of higher educational establishments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine allows to offer a created model for implementation in the educational process of higher educational establishments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
