The dissertation is devoted to the investigation of the problem of forming the personality of the gifted child of senior preschool age. The work with gifted children in the modern kindergartens were analyzed in the dissertation, the results of the psychological characteristics of the creative imagination of gifted preschool children were presented too. The system of factors in the development of the imagination of gifted preschoolers were defined. Theoretically justified and developed the comprehensive program of development the gifted preschool children, which includes: the sistem of work with the collective of preschool establishment, the system of classes with gifted preschool children, psycho-pedagogical education of parents. The internal mechanisms of creative imagination as new formation of preschool age and basic characteristic quality of the gifted child are the basis of of the proposed integrative program of development the gifted children. At first it was developed and introduced a system of lessons, where children can read the sign system based on imagery. It is for harmonize the personality development of gifted child and for satisfaction there interest in the cognitive signs. It is reflected in the author's copybook for gifted children. The hypothesis that was put forward during the empirical research is found its full confirmation.
