Essay

The thesis is devoted to complex research of topical foreign policy issues of the integration processes in the European Union, formalized after the signing the Treaty of Lisbon, namely, analysis of the impact of institutional changes in the EU and their impact on the character of the external relations with the global centers of power - the United States and China, as well as with the countries of Central-East Europe. Some separate area of scientific exploration will be applied to analysis of the prospects of cooperation between Ukraine and the EU on a new contractual framework, we are talking about the Association Agreement and Deep and Comprehensive FTA EU-Ukraine. The thesis summarizes conceptual and theoretical and methodological foundations of the study of integration processes in the EU, as well, the first time in Ukrainian political literature was systematically and conceptually explored the stages of the latest reform of the most important interstate integration union for the Ukraine - the European Union, namely, found the influence of institutional changes in the European Union after the signing the Treaty of Lisbon on the practice of its international cooperation with the main international actors. Traces the main trends in the EU in the direction of cooperation with the major centers of power, firstly - the USA and China. The paper also identified particular structural reform of the EU, as well as its possible impact on the development of relations with Ukraine in the context of the signing and ratification of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union.
