Polytsia T. Phraseological and Paremiological Objectivation of the Concept of "Thought" in the Ukrainian Language

Dissertation deals with analyzing phraseological and paremiological objectivation of the concept of "thought" for the first time in Ukrainian language on the material of idioms, proverbs and sayings, developed and applied author's own methodology of the research, the means of concept's representation in scientific and naive pictures of the world are described, proposed the model of zonal-gradation structure of its nominative field, in particular terminology, dialect actualization, associative, and actually phraseological and paremiological fields in correlation with the gradation of the semantic structure of the lexeme думка. The dynamics of its semantic development is analyzed. In phraseological and paremiological fields of the concept of "thought" revealed and zonal-gradatly structured basic and new cognitive, semantic, metaphorical and metonimical models of its objectivation in the Ukrainian language, which formulate phraseological and paremiological meanings. Found out cognitive models "thought is the subject of the thinking", "thought is the personality's intellectual ability", "thought - reservoir", "thought - tools for thinking", "thought - object which can be owned", "thought is the object of the thinking process" give grounds for well-founded formulation of new meanings of the word думка, their fixation in dictionaries and organizing on this basis, not only thematic phraseological and paremiological dictionaries, but the dictionary of concepts of the Ukrainian language.
