The dissertation focuses on the research of gifted adolescents' abilities. The concept of "research skills" and "research abilities of gifted teens" are defined; the criteria; indicators (level of intellectual abilities, flexibility of thought, originality of thinking, speed of thought, inner motivation to research, external positive motivation for research, external negative motivation for research, personal anxiety); levels and psychological conditions: sensitivity to uncertainty, orientation and cognitive motivation, personal cognitive qualities, developed cognitive qualities, developed creative quality, scientists and scientific supervisors authority, researching experience, the prestige of scientific knowledge.
