The dissertation research is devoted to the formation of professional competence of primary school teachers in teacher training colleges. The essence of the concept of "professional competence of future specialists of preschool education", to its content and structure was defined. It was established that the professional competence of future specialists of preschool education is an integrative professional and personal characteristics of the individual, which includes a set of professional knowledge, skills, personality and psychological traits, values and attitudes, so that to ensure their ability to effectively perform professional functions and tasks and promote self-realization and self-development.
