Essay

Object - processes of formation and providing foreign trade interests in European countries. Purpose - the development of forming theoretical and methodological principles of foreign trade interests in Europe, to identify their asymmetries and implementation of rationale applied recommendations of Ukraine’s foreign trade interests at the present stage of European integration. Methods - abstraction; abstract-logical; analysis, generalization and synthesis; econometric, including multivariate statistical and regression analysis; graphic. Results - theoretical generalization and conceptual formulation of theoretical and methodological principles of European countries’ foreign trade interests research in the context of overcoming asymmetries and develop their strategic priorities to ensure foreign trade interests at the present stage of Ukraine’s European integration. Novelty - the hypothesis on the objective prerequisites of foreign trade interests asymmetries in Europe, generated by asymmetries of international trade structure as the basis to determine their dominant forms (spatial, temporal, structural) is formulated and empirically confirmed; interpretation of the term «country’s foreign trade interest» is improved; theoretical and methodological approaches to assessing the impact of foreign trade on country’s macroeconomic indicators (GDP per capita), human capital and investment attractiveness of Ukraine and other European countries are developed; countries’ foreign trade interests typology is conducted; conceptual provisions of system implementing strategic priorities and foreign policy means of Ukraine are proved. Introduced in the activities of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine; Department of foreign relations, foreign trade and investment of Ternopil Regional State Administration; ALC «Bulat» and the learning process of Ternopil National Economic University. Scope of application - activities of the Committee for European Integration of the Parliament of Ukraine, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Mission of Ukraine to the European Union and the European Atomic Energy Community.
