Essay

It has been revealed that in the result of reforms secondary school teachers' training became practically and professionally oriented, specialized, aimed at developing the competencies of future teachers. The legislative and regulatory guidance documents of federal and regional levels as the basis for providing vocational teacher education in Germany have been analyzed. It has been shown that the process of creating the European Higher Education was the leading factor in key changes in German legislation for teacher training. It is noted that high level of education is based on the combination of integration processes simultaneously preserving national educational traditions.
