The thesis focuses on future engineering teachers research skills forming in the process of their studying professionally oriented disciplines as the component of their professional training. The state of the abovementioned problem investigating is analysed; the essence of the basic concepts of the research is elaborated, the criteria and the indicators are defined as well as the levels of research skills are characterized. The pedagogical conditions of research skills forming are theoretically grounded and experimentally proved. They are as follows: future engineering teachers' psychological readiness to perform educational and scientific activity; the elements of research approach introducing into educational process taking into account the peculiarities of professionally oriented disciplines, methods of their teaching and the expected results; the system of continued research activity organizing focused on student's personality with optimal correlation of teaching forms, methods, aids and using logic and heuristic methods of research problems solving. The model of future engineering teachers' research skills forming in the process of professionally oriented disciplines studying on the basis of full-scale and virtual experiment integrating is worked out.
