Dissertation presents the results of theoretical and experimental research of methodical system for training teachers of computer science using distance learning technologies; describes the basic concepts of research; analyzes the problem of training teachers of computer science in the system of postgraduate education in educational theory and practice, the current situation of formedness in information and communication competence of teachers of computer science. The structure of information and communication competence of computer science teachers was established, that comprises four components: ideological, technological, organizational, methodical and self-educational; the content of the criteria was identified and disclosed (ideological, technological, organizational, methodical and self-educational), indicators and levels (technological literacy, enhancement of knowledge, creation of knowledge) of formation the communication and information competence for teachers of computer science. We considered the development of information and communication competence of computer science teachers in the process of training, developed and theoretically substantiated the methodical system of training for teachers of computer science with using distance learning technologies in the system of postgraduate education; examined the features of usage the distance learning technologies in the methodical system of training for teachers of computer science; improved method of determining the level of formation the information and communication competence of computer science teachers, carried out the selection of content, methods, forms and means of methodical system for training teachers of computer science and experimentally verified its effectiveness
